#PaddyDoyle #bangkok #thailand #adventure

Welcome back to the channel. This week I’ve
decided to document a typical day here in Bangkok. I’ve got some cool things to catch you
up on and I’ve got some things that I need to   sort out today. And later on I’ll be meeting
up with some familiar faces. So just come and hang out with me today and enjoy a typical day in
Bangkok, Thailand. Hello. Good morning everyone. A very relaxing video this week. No big next level
adventure, just a chilled out vlog. I’ve got some updates. I’m doing some cool things today, so
I thought I’d dust the camera off and share my   day and share some of the behind the scenes of
the YouTube channel and my personal life here living in Bangkok. Got some cool updates for you.
But let’s uh begin with a coffee and opening some packages while I tell you about a cancelled trip
that got replaced with another trip that also kind of fell through. So, let me explain. Right. So,
one of the trips that got cancelled, sadly, was a big adventure, a 12-day trip to Cambodia. If you
remember, I think nearly 2 years ago now, I rented a tuk tuk in Sri Lanka. And um I drove it around
the beautiful island and country of Sri Lanka. Well, that company also does tuk tuks for rent.
Same company, but now they’ve started doing it in Cambodia, and it looks amazing. We were going
to sort of collaborate together. They were going   to give me a tuk tuk and me and my best mate Dave.
Anyway, we were supposed to go to Cambodia, but um there was uh the war, remember? I know it’s kind
of died down a little bit now, but um at the time, just like 2 or 3 days before we were supposed to
leave, I was in uh Singapore with Miss P and I was busy watching Newcastle, busy getting engaged.
Thanks for all the love on those videos, by the   way. And uh we were just keeping an eye on the
news and it was just getting worse and worse. And we were supposed to go in a tuk tuk around those
areas. We didn’t want to go well, we were going to visit CMR obviously, but then we were going to
go into the countryside and go in the places that the war was happening. We wanted to go see all of
the stuff that they were fighting over because it   looked really cool. Um, and so it just didn’t feel
right. So we canled the trip to Cambodia. So we just went to Vietnam instead. So the Cambodia trip
got cancelled unfortunately. But then we landed in Vietnam and we were really excited to have a big
adventure there, but then something happened. So, let me explain while I just I’m going to I’ve
just I don’t know if this is like online hype or whatever or marketing, but my friend uh told
me about creatine and uh apparently it’s really good for recovery after workouts and you know
just being exercises. It’s good for performance, but recovery is apparently what it’s best for
and that’s the thing I’m struggling with as I’m   getting older. I can’t seem to do back to back to
back to back workouts without feeling awful. So, I think I need to concentrate on getting better
sleep and um yeah, trying to take some stuff for recovery. But here’s the issue with Vietnam.
So, the second we landed, we spent a couple of days eating delicious food in Saigon, delicious
noodles, exploring, catching up. We hadn’t seen each other for a couple of years. So, we just
had a couple of days catching up in Saigon and   making plans. Like, I wanted to film adventure.
I wanted to film some content for you guys. And uh the second we got to Vietnam, it just felt like
it just felt like let’s have a trip. Let’s have a you know an adventure without the camera. And I
just put all my cameras, my drone in the bottom   of my backpack and me and Dave just hung out and
we went to Daang. We went to Hoyan. We went to Hi. We went on a motorbike trip into the mountains for
a few days and we just had the best time relaxing, enjoying our enjoying the company of a good old
friend and it just didn’t feel right. So even though I was in, you know, Vietnam for 2 weeks
and I had the best time. I didn’t pick up my   camera once other than a few uh Instagram stories
and stuff like that. Uh so so yeah the whole trip which was fantastic didn’t get uh didn’t spit out
any content for me because I chose to do it but uh basically I know I’d said that I was going to go
to Cambodia and you might have seen that I was in   Vietnam if you were following me on Instagram but
uh sadly there’s no videos there’s no adventure to come out of those two trips. One got cancelled and
then the other one just turned into a welldeserved vacation. This is really cool as well. Get this on
Lazada. It’s watermelon flavored um hydration uh electrolytes, no caffeine, really good. Fantastic.
Really good for when you’re working out and you’re sweating buckets as well. So, that’s a couple
of things that I’m just trying crazy. Let me know what’s the best thing for you for a recovery.
I’ve also got this magnesium. The good thing about my mate Dave is not only is he one of my oldest
friends, but he’s also a personal trainer. And he   was telling me that every night he takes magnesium
as well, and he says it’s really good for recovery, which like I said, I’m nearly 40 years
old now, guys. So, I feel like my body is not as uh I’m not a spring chicken anymore. In fact, I’ve
actually got loads of medication at the minute because I have uh bronchiitis. Um, I had an X-ray
and the doctor was like, “Bloody hell, you’ve got some Sorry, that’s my kitchen.” The doctor took
an X-ray of my chest cuz I couldn’t shake a cough. I’ve been coughing like it was awful for like 2
weeks. And he he took an X-ray and he was like, “Yeah, you’ve got bronchiitis and it’s quite bad.”
So, I’ve been on steroids and antibiotics for like 2 weeks. And uh, so that’s that’s another reason
why I’m struggling in the gym because I can barely   breathe. The best thing about our trip to Vietnam,
by the way, so I can sum it up in a very short space of time, Vietnam is still the best place to
have an adventure in Southeast Asia. It’s just so different to anywhere else. It’s so unique. It’s
so It’s just built for adventure. I don’t think I could ever live in Vietnam. It’s too noisy. Um,
and it’s just not as livable as Thailand. Um, but I do love Vietnam so much and so I can’t
wait to go back. It’s really inspired me to go   back and have another big adventure there maybe
next year. But uh yeah, the the highlight for us was Saigon was cool, good food. Um but we just
loved Hoyan. We had a couple of nights in Daang. Uh I really don’t get the hype of Daang. I think
Daang is so overrated. It looks nice if you drive through it or if you see pictures on Instagram.
Uh it looks nice. palm trees and, you know, ocean   and white sand and skyrises and swimming pools
and everything, but when you’re on the ground, it’s just it’s it’s so polluted. It’s so dirty.
There’s so much trash. There’s so much dust.   There’s so much construction. There’s so much it’s
just not clean. It doesn’t feel nice to be there. Um, so yes, it looks nice on on Instagram,
but when you’re actually there in person, it’s not good. It’s not good. Um, but on the
other hand, just down the road is Hoyan. And   we love Hoyan. We were in Hoyan for like three
nights and then we decided to come back to Hoyan at the end of our trip for another four nights.
We just loved Hoyan. It was the perfect place to   just relax and enjoy beautiful food, beautiful
restaurants, the beautiful town, and uh we got some leatherade goods as well, which was really
cool. In fact, I’ll show you in a second. But   um look at this good old brown flakes. When
I’m on this, uh cuz I’m on another health diet, by the way, another update. I’m on a 6 week weight
loss program which I shared on Patreon which by the way Patreon is completely free so don’t think
I’m plugging my Patreon. It’s free. Just click the   link and you can join. And I share behind the
scenes stuff. I talk about council trips and I talk about future trips and I share things like my
weight loss plan which is going really well. Um, but because I’m eating a lot of vegetables
and loads of meat and loads of eggs, this is actually really good for your digestion because
I uh struggle to uh pass the food sometimes. So, yeah, this is one of the things that I got made.
Um, these are custommade leather shoes. Um, you can decide like which style of shoe you
want and I obviously really like the Jordans. I’ve had Jordans before, obviously from Nike, but
I decided to get them custom made with really high quality leather. There’s like really good leather
involved. Like, it’s just soft and like it’s really nice. And I got the customization here
with my name and the 77 Provinces. And my idea is to wear this um wear these when I’m driving
Zelda in the future on a big road trip, which I’ve got planned, which I’ll tell you about in a
minute. Um so yeah, I got a nice pair of leather Jordan ones. I think they’re really cool. I
also got this really beautiful bag made. So,   in in Hoyan, like obviously you can get suits,
tailor made. Everyone gets suits. All the girls are getting their dresses made. But we just wanted
to get leathers leather bags and leather stuff.   So, just a really cool bag to have um for trips
away, like a weekend to Phuket or a weekend to Coyi. Just pack this and it looks cool. Um just
something different, something unique. And then I got a really cool jacket made, which obviously I’m
never going to wear here in Thailand. But uh yeah,   let me show you. Check it out. Basically, my mate
Dave, right, who I was traveling with, he needed a leather jacket cuz he rides a motorcycle every
day. And um I was like, “Oh, I want to get one as well.” So I got this leather suede jacket.
I mean, guys, this is not a fashion channel, but it just feels nice to have a proper quality
leather jacket. Like, it’s suede leather, right? Um, and it’s like it’s just it’s just nice to
design something in a shop, choose the materials, get fitted, and then one day I’ll be able to wear
this with a nice pair of jeans and uh maybe go on my motorbike and look half decent for once. So,
doesn’t really go with this outfit obviously, but you know. So, yeah, Cambodia got cancelled.
Vietnam was the replacement trip for the content for the channel. And then when I got there, I just
didn’t feel like it. So, I had a great time. When   I got back, I decided like, okay, what do I do?
How do I keep the channel going cuz I need to stay consistent. My ethos is turn up no matter what.
Show up every day, and never miss an upload. I always need to hit my upload schedule, which is
6:00 on a Saturday. So, I’ve been sat here at   my desk um planning videos, planning trips, and
I’ve got some great ideas lined up. Obviously, I’ve I filmed a couple of videos um which I like
to call evergreen videos, videos that basically this is the video that I posted last week. Travel
guide type videos. They’re not really next level   or anything like that, but they do really well
over time. Those types of videos will uh do really well for the channel in the long term. Like if
you come back to that video maybe next August, it might be on a 100,000 200,000 plus views because
those types of videos get shared a lot in people’s WhatsApp groups, Facebook groups. Um people who
are planning trips to Southeast Asia, younger   people who’ve never really done it. They might
find these types of videos and go, “Wow, this is really good. I’m going to send this to my mates
who I’m going to go traveling with and we can   start making some plans and uh getting excited.”
Um, one of the great ways to make a business out of YouTube is to create content that is evergreen
and gives a lot of value to your audience. And   those types of videos, um, I know they’re not very
interesting. I don’t get on my motorbike. I don’t show you somewhere new. I don’t show you something
amazing. I just kind of just talk about something   that you might not actually have any interest in,
but they are really of value to other people. Um, and sometimes once a year when I’m a little bit
under the cush and I don’t have any trips lined up, I haven’t got any content in the bank, I start
to decide to film those types of videos. They’re a great way to keep the channel ticking over and
also, you know, they’re good for business. So, uh, apologies for the, you know, for for the
fact that they’re not really that interesting   uh, for you guys. and and you’re probably
thinking the same thing about this video, but sometimes it’s nice to just turn the camera on
and just talk and share some things. Okay, so I’ve got a couple of fun little errands to do which I
think I can do while I tell you about my future travels because we’ve got some cool trips coming
up. So basically just down here that is the Queen Surroket National Convention Center and down there
is a really good motorcycle wash shop. Because it’s such a lovely day here, I’m going to go
take Zelda to get washed because she’s absolutely   disgusting. And then there’s a really cool travel
fair going on today and I always miss it. I’m always out of town for the last 3 years. So we’re
going to go to the convention center and see if I can do a little bit of snooping around. Maybe get
some good deals. Maybe, I don’t know, find some   cool things to to to visit this year later in the
year because like I’m going to tell you, got some cool ideas. [Music] I’ve been getting some nice
messages coming through asking if I’m okay after the earthquake. Obviously, I was sharing that I
was struggling to sleep and that I basically had PTSD. Um, it was a rough couple of weeks, but uh
I’m much much better now. We are still planning to leave. um and move out, but not until February
because our landlord rightfully so uh won’t let us move out early and we pay our we pay our rent
every 6 months. Um so he’s got his money so he’s quite happy to uh keep us contracted in and
we’re understanding of it. So can’t move out till February. We absolutely love living where we live
and I’ll share where I live uh properly uh when I move out. But it’s just such a nice area. It’s
like in the green gardens, but it’s also in the middle in the heart of Pom Pong. Yeah, absolutely
love it here. Just to have a little slice of oasis in the heart of Bangkok. Such a great place
to live. Such a great place to be productive. Quick mention, by the way, if you are in the
marketplace for a professionallook website, my sponsor Squarespace are the perfect place to go.
I built my website using Squarespace. I’ll link   it in the description so you can check it out. So
simple. I just chose one of their award-winning templates and then amended the text, added
my own pictures, added my own blog posts, and   I’ve started selling products and services on my
website. However, if that sounds too intimidating, they also have design intelligence, which is an
AI software built into Squarespace. You answer a few questions about what your website should look
like and how it should feel, what you’re trying   to do with it, and the AI will actually build the
website for you. And if you travel as much as I do and you want to update your website on the go,
you can now use their incredible Squarespace app. I recently amended and uploaded a brand new blog
post using the app and I could do it anywhere. As long as I have Wi-Fi, I can update my website,
which is a game changer if you travel as much   as I do. So head to Squarespace today, build the
website or use the design intelligence AI feature to build it for you. It’s completely free to do
so. But when you are ready to go live and publish   your website to the world, come back to this video
or click the link in the description. That website is squarespace.com/patty Doyle and you’ll get 10%
off your first website or domain with Squarespace. Yeah, it will be bittersweet to leave this
particular condo because we love living here. We really do. But we just don’t like being so high
because if it does happen again, I don’t want to be swaying in the wind. These are all the bikes
downstairs at the condo. I haven’t seen Zelda for about a month because I went to Singapore,
Vietnam, and she’s very dirty. She’s very dusty. Normally when I don’t drive
Zelda for three or four weeks,   the first thing I have to do is get air in
her tires cuz they normally go down a bit. But she seems like she’s got enough air in her.
We’re not going far. Just around the corner. There’s even like smoke coming
off the engine. I can smell it,   but that’s just because the engine’s
filthy and it needs to get clean. Okay, let’s do a little uh before. Look at
the state of it. I took her out for like a couple of days and she got super muddy and I
just went away traveling. So, she finally gets a nice clean because yeah, we’re going to be
going on the road together, Zelda, very soon. 300 Bart for a wash and a wax and uh two hours,
which is perfect because I want to go to the uh convention center to make some travel
plans or to see what they’ve got and see if it can accommodate the exciting plans that
I have. Let me just grab a motorbike taxi. Okay, welcome to the Queen Surroit National
Convention Center. I don’t know if you’ve ever been here before, but it’s right next to Benji
Kitty Park. So, I walk past this every single   day on my afternoon walk. And one of the reasons
I moved to Bangkok was so that I could be in the center of everything and be able to go to and
network at events like these. But for the past 3 years, every single time that I’ve uh found out
about this travel fair, I’ve not been in town. So, I don’t really know what to expect. I don’t
know if you have to pay to get in. I don’t   know if it’s just a bunch of hotels offering
slight discounts, airlines offering special promotions. I have no idea what to expect, but
uh hopefully it might give me some inspiration um and some ideas. And the main floor, there’s
actually a completely different uh event going on, the food and hospitality uh convention. So,
a lot of uh hotels and a lot of restaurants and bars and things, but um I think the travel
one might be downstairs. This convention center is massive. There we go. This is us in the lower
ground floor. If you’ve never been in here, they have coffee shops, restaurants. There’s so much to
eat. There’s so much space to explore. And uh from what I can get gather anyway, there’s two levels.
There might even be three. There might even be   four. This place is huge. Humongous. Anyway,
let’s go and see if we need to buy a ticket or maybe it’s free. I’m not quite sure. Okay, free
entry. Now, I don’t really have a strategy. I’m just going to kind of walk around. I won’t bore
you with it, but I will let you know at the end if anything interesting came about from being here
and then um I’ll share with you my travel plans. Okay, this is way way too overwhelming for me.
Basically, every single five-star hotel chain, every single major hotel chain, including lots
of independents, they’re all here. They all have a stand and they’re all giving out flyers.
And it’s a little bit intimidating cuz they’re all just trying to give you a piece of paper. I
don’t want to I don’t want a thousand flyers. Um, and from what I can see, the promotions
are quite basic. It’s like uh 10% off, 20% off. Uh free afternoon tea if you book three
nights. You know, it’s not really nothing really calling my name. I don’t know what any of this
says. Um and the prices are quite expensive, so I’m not really seeing any good bargains yet. Miss
P would like this section. They have a wedding area. Believe it or not, Miss P has already found
and put a deposit down for her wedding dress. We haven’t even figured out when we’re getting
married or where, but she’s got very excited. And um that is a beautiful dress. This section is
international travel and it seems like they are trying to sell package holidays, tours, that
kind of thing to China, to Singapore, all over uh the world really in conjunction with airlines, in
conjunction with hotels. But I feel like you would have to be Thai to unlock these deals because
uh everything’s in Thai. You can go to Morocco, you can go to Australia for 7 days, but this
is all in conjunction with airlines. Um and not really what I I was kind of I was kind of I’ll
tell you what I was looking for. a nice hotel, a big chain with beautiful five-star hotel
locations, and then I don’t know, maybe like buy two nights, get one free. That would be good.
That’s what I’m going to try and ask this. So, the best hotel in Thailand has a store here. They’re
called Sova. They have ones in the Maldes. Um, and they have one here in Thailand in Kok. And it’s
been my dream to stay there. So, I’m going to go ask them if they have a discount. Okay, drama. Um,
that hotel in Coco is closed. It’s no longer part of the Sova group and it’s shut down and that was
like the number one uh hotel. You could fly there in a private plane to Coco. They had their own
private airport and then they would take you to the hotel and it was just like insanely expensive
and insanely luxurious like 50,000 bar a night and then I think there was a plane crash and something
dodgy happened and now they’re closed. Anyway, discount deals on the Moldes not really my jam.
I’m going to I’m going to put that down as a   failed mission. I thought I thought it would be
different. I thought it would be a there would be more offerings, better discounts. I didn’t see any
cheap deals. I didn’t see any major discounts. Um, of course, there were a few, but not much.
And sometimes you can get better deals online, especially when you’re level three genius on
booking, which I am. You get massive discounts   already. Free upgrades and uh free breakfast,
and you get loads of perks. And I don’t know, that was a bit of a disappointment to me. I’m
glad I didn’t have to pay to go in. It was free,   thank God. Okay, one of the restaurants here. Um,
I’ve eaten here before and it was really good. While they’re cooking the food, let me explain.
So, obviously for the second half of this year, I don’t really have any big international trips
except for um next week I’m going to the Alps to hike around Mount Blancc. um France, Italy,
Switzerland, and back into France. And that will be my final hiking trip of the year. It will be my
final hiking video for a long time because they’re they’re quite tricky to make. They’re um super fun
to film, but they don’t really perform as very as well as uh good old Thailand adventures. And I
really miss getting on Zelda. Um, recently when I went to Chang Dao, when I went into Utitani,
not only did those videos perform really well because you guys really enjoyed them, but I loved
making them and it made me remember that as much   as I love to expand my horizons and go to these
far away countries and have these big adventures, sometimes it’s just good to concentrate on what
you’re best at and what you love to do the most,   which is explore Thailand. So, one of the reasons
I wanted to come here was to maybe find some nice new places to stay. Um, but in the end it didn’t
really turn out that way. So, I’ve got two big road trips planned on Zelda. The first is I’m
going to make my way up to the M Kong and I want to do like a a M Kong adventure where I’ll
follow the M Kong from where it joins Thailand to where it leaves Thailand. And that will be a 2 or
3 month road trip getting on Zelda and following the M Kong. And I’ll start filming that probably
late August once I get back from Europe. And then after that, I just want to keep driving and keep
exploring. And I can’t wait to go back to the   south of Thailand, the deep south, Krabby, Stun,
Patani, Yala, Nariwa, more of Sla, more of Nakoni, Tamarat, Chon, all of those provinces. I just
can’t wait to go and explore more. see new places, new islands, and do it all on Zelda and just
see out the rest of the year, seeing friends, going to new places, revisiting some of the old
absolute bangers that I haven’t been to for years and share it all with you guys. So, that’s the
that’s the main plan. Obviously, I’ve got my   trip to Europe next week, and then after that,
it’s going to be road tripping. I can’t wait. behind us. Okay, here she is. And she’s looking incredible.
It’s amazing what a little wash and a good scrub and a little bit of wax can do. She’s looking
pristine and super excited for a future adventure. Actually, I’m thinking since I had that mediocre
experience at the travel fair, we would fight back by attacking the day with some more productivity.
So, she’s in desperate need of an actual service. And there’s one particular shop that deal
with this type of bike, and it’s an Echimai. This is the reason why I don’t drive
much here in Bangkok. Anyway, traffic. Okay, so this is a Cub House. It’s a subsidiary
of Honda. They stock kind of like the alternative Honda bikes. So you have like the Dax and
you have the Monkey and you have the Super Cub and of course you have the CT125 which is
what Zelda is. This is kind of how she comes with a little bit of extra goodies on top. They
used to have a coffee shop here but it’s gone. Okay, jumped on another Grab and
I’ve made it over to Asia Teik to   meet up with Gary and his little boy
Finley. We’re going to try somewhere new that’s just opened. Uh Gary’s bought the
tickets online and uh I’m not going to lie, it looks really fun. I’ve only ever been to
this Asia Tece before and that was right after   CO and this whole place was just wiped out,
completely empty, nothing going on. Um but it is absolutely filled to the brim now.
every stall. Every restaurant, every bar is open. And uh we’re here for the Jurassic
World experience. This place looks insane. So, I saw this on an Instagram reel.
They when they opened about a week ago,   they invited all the YouTubers and all the
all the influencers uh to come and document the opening of it. But we wanted to come when
it was open. And we wanted to pay cuz that way if it’s rubbish we can tell you. Right here he
is. Gary. How you doing mate? I’m good mate. Um you guys know him from the roaming cook, but
did you know he had a a family channel called   the roaming dad? So it’s mainly just him and
Finley going to the water parks and going to all the fun stuff. So we thought we’d bring
Finley here to the Jurassic World. Are you excited? Yes. Yeah. You’re not going shy cuz
you’re a buddy set. finally on a proper proper YouTube channel. You just told me you got
married in the playground or in the library. [Music] Wow, look at the roof. We’re going to take a
picture just behind this background and I think they’re going to superimpose a dinosaur and then
try and sell it to us later for like 20,000 bar. Okay, we’re in some sort of boat. Thank you very
much for spend the sea for the children still. That was cool. So, we took the boat to uh
Jurassic Park. Now we’re in the jungle. Wow. How cool is that? Like this. The back of your
hand. The back. Like this. Oh. [Music] Sounds like there’s a dinosaur behind that door. Good. The right. Okay. Good. Everyone
stay. Everything is under. [Music] Hold on everyone. We need you to step back. Step back. We need to
step back now. Step back. We need one step back. One step back. Step back. Step back. Step back.
Step back. Please step back. One. Step back. Step back. Step back. Please step back. I think
she wants us to step back. This way. This way. Oh my god. Quick. Quick. Quickly. [Music] You going, bud? Oh, [Music] this is getting quite intense. This is getting
really intense. Oh, look. Dinosaur. Look. That’s so cool. So, Gary, what do you think then
of the Jurassic World experience as a dad? Would   you bring your kids back? Yes. I wouldn’t I don’t
know if if he was three, I’m not sure I would have brought him cuz uh I would have and then maybe
regretted it because it was quite intense. You went from a photo room where everyone was just
taking pictures of a brachiosaurus to like a panic room where you had production. incredible. They’ve
obviously spent billions of bart um visually it’s amazing but they need to work a little bit on
the experience side. Yeah, we just felt like   cattle getting you know before we get the in the
head. If we’d have waited any longer I would have gone I would have left or tried to leave. I don’t
think you can. So that was actually I was starting   to get panicked when we went into that velociaptor
room and I was like oh I just want to get straight to the next bit and they’re like no no you have
to wait and I was like oh no it’s dark and I’m   getting panicky and then it all started kicking
off. Yeah. This bloke didn’t even cry one time. But it is good to see Asia has turned into
something. There’s loads of restaurants   here. There’s loads to do. There’s shopping.
People are spending money. Complete opposite to last time I was here when it was at the
height of CO and I thought, “Oh my god, what even is this place?” But now, yeah, it’s
worth coming down here to have a look. What are we doing? I’m I’m so hungry. I’m going to thank you.
We’re going to go. There’s a dim sum restaurant,   Shan. Okay. Looks like they do dim sum. Lovely
jubbly. It’s so cool that he eats Asian food, right? Like no chicken nuggets, no fish fingers,
nothing. But you want Hong Kong fried noodles. Oh, lovely. Jubbly. Now, they’re going to be
really hot, so be careful before you touch them. It’s not that hot. Oh, that’s filled inside
there. Boiling hot soup. Okay. Had a lovely dinner with Gary and Finley. Then we went for ice cream.
And now it’s time to go home on another motorbike taxi. And uh the heavens have oh opened up and
it is pissing pissing down rain. Thankfully, my lovely little motorbike taxi driver pulled
over and gave me a rain jacket, so I’ll be giving him a nice little tip as we whiz through rush
hour traffic in the rain. It’s just been a fun, productive, normal day here in Bangkok. I hope
you enjoyed the vlog. If you did, give it a like. Very simple, very chilled out video this week.
Big adventures in the Swiss Alps coming soon. [Music] [Music]

  1. Paddy – all these supplements. Since you’re in Bangkok, get yourself up to Lat Phrao. Literally a minute walk from MRT … is amazing Chinese medicine place run by the nicest brother & sister. It’s called SIAM TCM Clinic. Acupuncture, blood cupping and the best Chinese medicine. Tell them your symptoms. They fix problems! You will love it and feel better. Enjoy! 😊

  2. Warning on the creatine, i'd consult your doctor, if you have any kind of digestive issues, pre exsistiing conditions of any kind of mental health issues then creatine can really f-you up.

  3. Paddy drop the bran flakes. the reason you’re constipated is the high protein diet. Causes far less waste than the shitty Western diets. add more animal fats and drop the bran. all thats gonna do is delay switching to burning fat. if you must, take an ex lax every so often or add a daily electrolyte complex.

  4. Paddy careful when drinking Creatine and alcohol on the same day. If you are going to drink creatine one day and plan on drinking the same day, it is going to give you stomach issues. If you know you are going to drink beer on any given day, I wouldn’t take creatine same day. Just a word of advice from my personal experience.

  5. It was a nice video as I arrive in Bangkok this coming Thursday the 12th
You and Gary out eating has always been interesting and I hope I can locate some of the spots
I’ll probably stay the month then Cambodia and then Vietnam

  6. I was in Vietnam in 1997 and visited from deep south to deep north (6 weeks and yes Ha Giang too). Da Nang was just a village, tallest building had 3 floors including the ground. Lucky I went nearly 28 years ago.

  7. Become a spring chicken again and introduce Shilajit resin and sea moss gel into your diet and the sea moss gel will clean your lungs of flem and the Shilajit will keep your energy levels next level and a good probiotic to keep the gut healthy, best of health to you Paddy !

  8. I have been to Da Nang for 1 week, going around day and evening on the beach side and in the town and it was very nice and clean. Where did you see all this trash? 😄

  9. There's an audience for hiking videos if you do a pilgrimage route: the Shikoku Henro or Kumano Kodo in Japan or any of the Caminos de Santiago in Spain, Portugal and France.

  10. I just completed a Vietnam motorbike trip and content. Soon I will be out doing the same in Thailand. Using your videos as inspiration and for places to explore. Dont know if i will hit every province but i will visit many over serveral months. Got a new Yamaha PG-1 for the trip and adventure. Looking forward to your new adventures.

  11. Hey @@PaddyDoyle. , if you didn’t find any great deals at that convention, just remember: Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday. 😂

Thank you for your content. Stay awesome. 😊

  12. Your videos are the perfect start to my Saturdays here in Canada. Flights are booked, back to Thailand in 2026, with more exploring to do! Thanks for another great video 🙂

  13. Hi Paddy, ex-military here — been training for years. I’m 53, turning 54 soon, and still in the gym 6 days a week focusing on compound lifts and HIIT. After 40, it really pays to prioritize strength training over endless cardio. You’ll build muscle, boost metabolism, and actually burn more calories long-term.

Here’s something to try: do an hour of steady cardio and check the calorie burn. Now do an hour of solid compound lifting — not only will you burn during the workout, but you’ll also benefit from the afterburn effect (EPOC), where your body keeps burning calories while recovering.

For health and recovery, I keep a steady supplement routine:
    • Fish oil (2x daily) for heart and joint health
    • Vitamin C and Vitamin D3 + K2 for immunity, bone, and cardiovascular support
    • Creatine — great for strength and endurance, though it may cause a little water retention
    • Whey protein (I use Gold Standard) — one of the best for post-workout recovery

As you get older, blood flow and recovery are key. I also add Tribulus terrestris for potential benefits, though research is mixed — I’ve personally found it helps with recovery and circulation.

    All the best
    Andrew

  14. 11:51 I still watch them to support the channel and get them out to others. You put out quality stuff for free that I enjoy and even if I have been to Thailand a million times I still enjoy your take, and also k genuinely think others who are more new should see your stuff. You give them a good mindset and a balanced take.

  15. I love the “day in the life” vlogs, so keep them up.

Also, can’t remember if I said it in the previous vlogs, but congratulations to you and Miss P on the engagement.

Again, not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, and I’m sure you’re already aware of it, but have you ever looked at Mauritius for another hiking trip?

I was there with my family recently and we did a little hiking (or at least tried 😂), but there are plenty of hiking routes to choose from, and there are some places for great content, too.

  16. 32:46 jeez this is so intense for little kids. Wayyyyy back in the day we had animatronic dinosaurs in the Bay Area (Northern California) and it was awesome. They were very lifelike (well ya know) and it was amazing. They had a dino show. This was mine 25 years or even 30 years ago. It was a chill and you learned about the Dino’s as well as got roared at a few times.

This looks like some sort of fever dream

  17. I actually enjoy these kinds of videos now and then. I watch your channel because I love Thailand and it gives me both travel inspiration and a little glimpse of what life over there might be like. Please do keep making these behind the scenes videos. They really show a side of daily life in Thailand that I always wonder about whenever I visit.
And honestly, it also helps that you’re simply nice to watch. You’ve got a great personality.
