🇦🇩 ANDORRA The BEIXALÍS wall: we walked along the toughest section of LA PURITO 2025 route in ENCAMP

🇬🇧 Join us on this adventure up the Collada de Beixalís, the most feared climb in La Purito Andorra. In this video, we hike the central section of the Beixalís road, known as the “Andorran Wall” due to its steepness. The climb from Encamp features a 2.7 km stretch with gradients exceeding 14%, including a 1.5 km section with an average gradient of 12.9% and peaks reaching 17-18%. www.ramacabici.com
This climb is part of the long route of La Purito (115 km and 4,800 m of elevation gain), which in 2025 will include six mountain passes: La Rabassa, La Gallina, La Comella, Beixalís, Ordino, and Les Cortals d’Encamp. The race will start in Sant Julià de Lòria and finish at Les Cortals d’Encamp on August 3, 2025, with the passes ranging in altitude from 1,347 m to 2,083 m.
We filmed this video on August 2, the day before the race, to show you what the climb looks like without the riders: the narrow road, the hairpin bends, and the stunning scenery of Andorra. We also explain why Beixalís is considered the toughest climb of the entire route: the endless steep gradients and the heat can make the climb “an absolute hell.”
