I use mapy.cz or now it’s mapy.com. It’s a Czech app, so obviously it works best in Czechia, but here in Poland it also works decently. I used it in Austria, main routes are fine, but some of the existing trails aren’t on the map. But I’m sure those Eurovelo routes are on it.

If you’re using Google Maps you’re already doing cycling wrong.

Because people at Google are busy counting AI money and don’t want to invest time in Maps anymore since it is dominating anyways.
All the good people with a vision for Maps have either been currupted by the money or left the company already. Tghis is with everything google does. The impulse is always from external startups. In case of maps, it was Where 2 Tehcnologies, Keyhole and ZipDash. Every feature that came after that was just lukewarm versions of the technology and visisons of those 3 original companies.

Google Maps doesn’t have pre-determined routes to follow. Not for bikes, not for cars, not for walking. Use another app or create a custom map.
That is not how Google Maps works. There are other platforms that provide what you are looking for.
What is the one that goes from Greece to Gibraltar?
Yessss! How do you do it man?
Komoot sucked,
I had a free trial with RidewithGps but I still couldn’t direct it to take me on a eurovelo route,
And especially in France it was scary because RidewithGps would take me on highways with cars, while Google maps would take me to closed farms
Google “[My Maps](https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/)” is what you’re looking for. You can [import GPX and KML files](https://support.google.com/mymaps/answer/3024836) up to a certain size. Then [open them in Google Maps](https://support.google.com/maps/answer/3045850).
This is what it looks like:
