Good morning. We are leaving a town I can’t remember Elbert and going to another town. It’s only 22 mi away. 1500 ft of elevation gang. Um we’re going to a coffee shop right now and it’s a beautiful day. It’s 8:30 and it’s about 52°. It’s nice and chilly. It’s like fall weather here. Yeah. Loving it. Yeah. And I’ll show you a quick little picture of where we’ve come from. So, we were down there on the right. It’s lovely. What in the world is that? Guess it’s a car show or car tour thing. [Music] There it is. [Music] Yep. Bye-bye. One really cute thing we saw this morning was um they send sometimes they send little boys up to the bakery to get some bread and pastries for the family and they go on bike. So we’ve seen it at campgrounds and in smaller cities and the boys are so excited. They have a little list from their mama and they tell them what they need, all the different items. They put them in their backpack and then they ride home. It’s very cute. Well, we deviated about three miles off our route just for coffee and croissants and another cup of coffee and another cappuccino. Uh we spent about an hour relaxing and catching up on Bible time and looking at the route. Anyway, so it’s been a lovely morning. [Music] squirrel fan. I could get behind graffiti like that. Pretty cute. Of course, on the other side, here comes an owl ready to kill him and squish him and eat his guts out. Yards. There’s a little conduit where the water flows right between the roads. I mean the houses. This is darling. Yeah. Oh, wow. Hello. Hello. And in case you thought you might be lost, you could just look at those little signs on the trees and that’ll tell you well something if you knew what they meant. Is it all cockeyed? Yeah. No, no, no. Look, it’s We got a little rain going on. Radar said it was going directly away from us, but Nope. Lovely day for a ride. It actually isn’t bad. We have our rain gear. Everything we have is protected. I guess I’m a little chilly around my knees, but the rest of it’s just perfectly fine. It’s only wet on the outside for goodness sake. And it’s really only wet on the outside of my coat, to be honest. It is beautiful up here. I think we’re reaching the highest elevation of our climb. You can see the windmills to the left. That usually means you’re pretty high. Got a couple more climbs to go and then I think it’s downhill for a bit. We’ve hardly passed anybody on these paths. It’s been gorgeous. What are you girls looking at? Had you ever seen a Texan riding a steel horse? [Music] and painting like a dog. Interesting road. Individually laid little bricks that interlock. How do they keep all the weeds we’re going through? See them? But that bermita grass would have just come up covered right up. Forboating wind and leaves and clouds. any good? I think there’s a little not quite right, but it’s still pretty good. Mhm. Want to see? Oh, green. It’s a little green, but it still has a nice flavor. No, I don’t want one. Or if there are any worms in it. No worms. Good. Are you sure? I don’t know. I don’t have sure. I’m not I don’t have any desire. Thank you, though. Look at this big old snail in the path. It’s huge. Ew. And he’s got a long trail across. And I’m doing a lot of climbing and flying today. We started seeing a lot of these signs. riding in the 100 wood. Okay, keep going. Looking for poo. Keep going. I’m going looking for poo bears. To sum up the ride, it was 24 1/2 miles with 1,800 ft of elevation gain. It was a lot of ups and downs, so climbing and flying. Went through a lot of cute towns. Starting off with a nice coffee was really great and ending up at a nice campground is great, too. We had rain on and off. I think we put our rain coats on three times, but it wasn’t terrible. Um, thanks for watching. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat.
