It’s the last steep ramp starting now. Lavidu 21% here. A reminder that with around 6 700 meters to go, it goes ever so slightly downhill to the finish. This is Henley up to Gal following on being Felix Gal in his own style. Well played Pitcock. He’s showing great fight here. just 120 down on Vinor and Almeida. He’s still in the wealth after this very much so. And uh when you see where Petcock has lost contact there from Bingo and Almeida and from the other ones he was with you know he is riding this uh to his power very very well and uh he’s finishing a bit stronger or maybe the other ones are just weakening a bit but it’s all about as I said knowing how deep you can go but not going overboard that you do not be able to continue on to the finish and carry it all the way. There’s going to be no record victory margin or anything like that. It may well be the fastest ever ascent, but that will have to wait. And most of it’s been ridden by Joah Almeida pump humping away continuing to pipe out the WS and pedling on to being toeto toe to Yonas Vigor Jala former Portuguese champion this year having won three big world tour stage races. and he’s with a twotime tour to winner who wants to win the welter. Yes, he does want to win the belt. And uh even if Vingo has really suffered here, he has to just dig so deep and stay in the wheel and we’ve been threatening to see now in the final run to the line. Will VGO have something to give an attack and try and overtake at this man who has been setting this real killer of a pace. Look at the way he’s going here just continuing on being go just in the wheel as he has been for kilometer after kilometer and this is Alme’s you know run to the line here and you know now we are going to go in who’s going to stage go for the st who’s going to be able to take the stage victory bonuses also all of that has to play for and uh will Almeida be able to just keep this man at bay the red jersey and take the stage honors also and the maximum time bonus or will it be vin last Big effort uphill here over the lip to see if he can drop the Ugore and Almeida despite all the trying looks like he will not be able to. It’s a kilometer to go. It still rises for another couple of hundred meters or so and they’re into the mist. [Applause] That mysterious look that you often get at the top of this mountain. But not too much mystery about the GC. The differences will be laid clear, very bare by the end of the day, but they will not be gigantic at all. The good news for all of us spectators, the Wespan will still very much be in play. There’s 50 seconds between first and second at the moment. There won’t be too many minutes between the top five. So, here comes Almeida. And now Vingor hands in the drops is ready. Top of the climb comes here and this is where the king of the mountains points come. All 20 will go to Jah Almeida who looks, watches and will now be very wary of Vingor coming around to take the stage. Vingor who has won twice already at this Espña. Here they go. It’s Al trying to pedal on. Remember 10 bonus seconds for first over the line. Six for the second. Vitma have ridden all day long. It’s they who said they wanted a win today, but here comes Almeida. 150 m to the line. UA took it up on the penultimate climb today. He’s trying to hammer it home. Almea to win it the first time at the Espña. He does 10 bonus seconds to him. Fall back on Vora is alive despite the fact that Jonas Vignor retains the red jersey. The angled 2025 belongs to Jo Almelda. A stage that has been ridden at scary speed since the start. Kinley there to take third place and four bonus seconds too. He will rocket up the standings into the top five. It seems today across the lineal the Portuguese superstar at the top and takes victory. The WA is alive. Sean Kelly and Jo Almea for the way he took control in that climb fully deserve that brilliant victory. Well, he’s helping to deserve it because he did all the work on the on the climb and with me going the wheel and he did a magnificent job in the run to the line as we can see the other riders coming over here. Pelazari, he’s going to lose what a minute and 10. Not too bad. Comes Pock Rickello. He’s with him at 115. And that is quite the ride from the Britain. Yes. Well, that is a great ride because on this climb we could see minutes being lost and we are going to see minutes lost because we see some of the riders getting dropped in the very earlier part of the climb and it’s going to be a stack of minutes from those guys. This man, what a ride.

  1. Congrat almeida, the danish never take a single relay like usual and if it was the opposite the vingegaard will be crying because other don't help him, what a clown the vingegaard he will win the vuelta yes but with no charisma, awfull to watch like usual…

  2. shitty and pathetic display from jonas. Nobody is catching you in GC and everyone in the whole wide world knows that. And you still ride like THAT? You dont even fight for the queen when you already know the result of GC and its you who is winning it and you still sit on the wheel on the queen stage. Didnt even try. Angliru had everything, it had ramps, walls, faux flats, crests, ladders everything. And the only situation you find suitable for attack is a downhill section, 300m from the finish? You could not even attack almeida on the queen? Congrats for the GC win. To me this tour is already over. Just sit behind the wheel and let the course run out. Thanks though for the great few stages in the first half, atleast there is something to remember this tour by. See you in the World championships, (if you even compete there). Rest of the vuelta will be just riders chasing seconds that everybody know they are not going to get and jonas will just be happy getting sloppy seconds in stages as long as he does not have to attack.

  3. For all the guys here that were saying Uae was right not to help João because he could never beat Ving. WHAT A SHOW. WHAT A FIGHTER. We actually dont care if he wins. We care that he ALWAYS gives is best. The Almeidada has begun.

  4. Jonas second behing pogacar with many minuts to oevercome he just foolow the wheel of pogacar no charisma the danish so here it was sur he will do the same, but at least Almeida win the stage, congrat to him, well deserved. it's a nightmare to watch the danish, anti personality, anti spectacle, anti risk

  5. Bota lume Joao 🇵🇹. Quel dommage qu'il doive se débrouiller seul au sein de l'équipe uae sans l'aide de personne. Il fait parti actuellement du top 3 mondial . Orgulho 🇵🇹

  6. WHY do all of these F*CKING RETARDS have to BLOCK the ROAD like this??? What kind idiots do that??? They are just a few yards in front of the riders… that's SO annoying and dangerous. The cops should be cracking their heads with nightsticks…
