My left foot cleats always go out first as I stand down on them when I stop. Do you folks replace both cleats together or get more life out of other side? Pic for reference. Thanks
For me also left looks used enough to not think about keeping them.

Do you use your right foot to slow the bike down?
You can just change the one if that’s how you feel but they are always sold as a pair.
Do what you feel is correct in your mind.

Taking into account the price of the cleats, I’d change them on pairs. I usually change them way before the one on the picture

Check the ledge where the binding clips in. Even when they look like garbage, if the lower edge is still square and it has good thickness, the cleat is fine. The yellow things do nothing on the bike. Apparently they are to help with walking (because otherwise the flat surface would be too slippery, but… they are pretty awful anyway).
Anyway, both left and right cleat are identical. No reason to change them both at the same time unless they are both worn.

Always.
You’d be shocked how much knee pain can follow

Rotate halfway og lifetime – like car tires – then replace both 🤓
