hello one and all welcome to scene through glass you may or may not have seen that Seb Delaney recently picked up that Renault Manan GT and for some reason the first thing we decided to do with it was drive to Amsterdam I don’t know it was your idea yeah yeah there’s literally absolutely no reason for us to be here but we thought whilst we’re here why not do a challenge as you probably noticed just now everyone in Amsterdam rides bicycles what we decided to do is put a classic Challenge on car versus bicycle we’ve picked a breakfast spot the other side of town the challenge is who can get there first Seb is going to be driving his new hot hatch Manan GT which in theory should perform great in the city and I it will perform great in the city good luck with that I am going to be going the route of the locals and riding that beautiful Renta bike the only two stipulations are Seb is allowed satav I am not oh and the winner or the loser has to pay for [Music] breakfast 3 2 M Mo on the road my phone unfortunate I haven’t been in the bicycle for about 6 years open car open go okay start I need to put this in the sa now I’ve never put anything in this satin now before how do you work there he goes come on okay I have to try and remember how to ride a bicycle which I haven’t done for so long the benefit I’ve got is that Amsterdam is made for bicycles so I can cut through all these little Alleyways well SE has to go around loads of oneway systems uh uh destination [Music] what [Music] uh boom are we good to go are we good to go come on car go go go go go go go sport mode engaged am I on the I feel like I’m on the wrong side of the road definitely on the wrong side of the road there’s like a traffic system for bicycles I’m definitely look break some rules here oh he’s just gone look at him baller that’s what I need to do I need to I need to get Brave like him oh he’s going for it he’s going for it don’t get one over by the tra oh big [Music] bump go go go go breathe in speed bunk damn it I think that Sam doesn’t stand a chance to beat me in the car the only thing that’s going to get me is I need to park before I can meet in the restaurant and that’s the only thing that might be my biggest problem Oh I8 hello come on S so you can drive a superc car here also that’s what I love the trams the way of letting you know they’re coming it’s just one singular dong oh wait where’s the where’s the Cy now follow follow the moped BL L Tor of France over there go on mate where is Seb that is my question it says 1.7 kilm how does Sam think he’s going to win this update from the car traffic that’s all I can say I am stuck in traffic with 1.3 km to go on this road and there’s nothing I can do and all these smug little bikes are overtaking me and it’s the most frustrating thing and I’m is that Sam I think that’s Sam I think that could be Sam no uh was Sam wearing a jacket what was he wearing he was wearing that shirt thing wasn’t he no that’s not Sam then oh I’m literally just waiting for him to pass we’re looking for someone called The Breakfast Club oh oh my God I’m going to die which obviously is not a very unique place to go for breakfast but feel like a safe bed come on come on I really don’t need to be in sport mode right now no red light am I to go down here I’m on a tram line I’m officially on a tram line guys and I have no idea if I’m supposed to be here oh my God what am I doing this a tra I I might get arrested right now or die prefer be arrested set on there anyway I kind of expect this is the way that the SAA would bring s is there a dodgy area over Amsterdam is there a dodgy area am I should I be scared feel like everyone here’s so nice feels like this could be the next Venice not that I want to like scare people oh no cycle super highways ended guys I’m on the road I’m on the actual Road this doesn’t feel right this does not feel right I’m panicking why I’m on the road going to turn right just so that I’m on the road so honestly though no idea if I’m going the right way oh very pretty how lovely see I bet you Sam can’t enjoy the city the way I am he probally just like Breakfast Club where are you I am so nearly there and there is no way Sam got here this quick it’s just that’s just impossible oh they all speed bums here they’re flipping Cliffs Jesus what’s this your door I’m in a race can’t afford to wait for your door The Breakfast Club where are you okay there’s parking down there so what I’m going to do is I’m going to go down that [Music] road where is this place there I see it The Breakfast Club I see it I see it heck creative team how creative can you get can you grow hair that wasn’t there this looks like ahead the end of the Big River feel like the end is up ahead which means we must be very very close okay let’s find somewhere to stop oh I’m driving across tra lines again what do these signs mean for parking I’m hopeful I don’t feel too disasterous I generally have no idea where we are but feel good about that you know what I’m in a race screw it I’m going in here but okay I’m going to take that GoPro with me run inside oh that can’t be him is it is that him there’s a blue no there’s a blue Manan down there I’m not even taking the piss look is that seeps please don’t say that seeps let’s go look and see if it’s a french plate is that The Breakfast Club there is that it Z no did you just get here did you just get here yeah I got here my God I lit came that can’t be him that can’t be him yeah I got I was just figuring out how to pray for parking like how do you pay they go plate I was like well where do I put the plate it but there’s a big Towing sign there oh my God I actually can’t believe how close that was what an anticlimax I can’t believe anyway you re so the end result is even though everyone here spends their lives on bicycles they should be in cars so learn Amsterdam um I hope you’ve enjoyed that as I say weird anticlimax at the end there but Seb is the
