I was just chatting with a friend about this! I personally find the whole thing kind of corny, but I have 0 issue with anyone else doing it. Lots of people I know name their bikes, cars, etc. and more power to them but idk it feels weird to do it myself.

  2. My daily with racks and fenders and stuff is Sherpa and my fun bike is Jetta because it’s a Trek VW Jetta Edition so the name was already on the top tube

  3. I used to ride a very old suPERCYcle which was missing a lot of its decals. The Percy bit was left that was her name.

    1. naming things

    2. cache invalidation

We have a “name” in our head regardless, but to get it out of our head and vocalize it requires giving it a spoken name. We collectively name things in order to speak about them without having to use a set of adjectives. For that reason I think that all of our toys should be named.
