here and I was a normal human being and um I had the best intentions in my heart to be a nice person yeah yeah but what happened was I got banned from every every [ __ ] place in this town I got walked over by every person I met and now I don’t overly like it I wish I could have liked it how I used to are you from are you from cult originally yeah so what’s H what’s being a problem then M when you being banned from everywhere because I am not the same as other people right I am not the same human being as you are we’re all different okay we’re allowed to be different okay right I get that so why can’t we be different if we’re not being horrible to people it’s okay so what’s being different that’s for you that’s caused you to get banned from places why have you been I haven’t been rude to people man I haven’t been rude to people that’s what you want to say but the thing is like I got I went in Supermarket today at S yeah and the guy said is a black guy yeah and he said um you’re banned and I went no mate I’ve never stolen anything from this shop you’re Banning me because you’re a racist basically yeah you don’t like me so you want to ban me like I don’t like you mate Missed out castle park, just round the corner beautiful park lots of greenery and a actual castle, lovely place for a walk and or a run
Was locked up there in the glasshouse when I was in the army and the day I got out I got so pissed in train station I fell asleep having a dump and missed my train 😂

Can do alot worse than colchester tbf I moved here 8 year ago from southend and never looked back. Check out the zoo, probably the best in the uk

Colchester is quite a lovely town to visit however getting in and out of the town back to the A12 at certain times of the day is horrendous.

Colchester was only ever heritage signed as ‘Britain’s Oldest Recorded Town’ (Camulodunum) it didn’t receive City status until 2022 part of the late Queen’s Jubilee.

Homeless, mentally unwell, traumatised, addicts drug indulgers I would imagine are there in most places. A certain percentage of the population.
Notable is no homeless in Japan, why? I read one third are homeless due to substance addiction. In Japan there is very little substance addiction as it is against the culture and conditioning, this is somewhat unique amongst nations and cultures but an interesting point.
Another third of homeless are possibly due to mental illness which we must include traumatic childhoods. In Japan the cultural shame of mental illness somehow helps(or perhaps sufferers keep quiet?) and a third is lack of affordable homes, this is cured in Japan as they allow easy rent out of tiny rooms without much interference so everyone has an opportunity to get off the streets into a very restricted tiny tiny room.
I used to stay down in Colchester for work. Never felt unsafe back then . Was a nice place … the round of drinks cost a bit more than in the midlands though

Lovely place Colchester! Grew up knocking about round there! Brilliant music scene in the 90’s! Dunno about now but was always good back in the day! The Oliver Twist was the gaff! 😂
Iam from Ipswich and Colchester is not bad place , better than Ipswich,which is full of barbers shops and dodgy sweets shops which are money laundering shops ,it's also full of immigrants
I’ve lived in Colchester 23 years. The town centre is lovely, it really is. But a lot of the money comes from students and the garrison and Londoners. The place has been getting gradually gentrified my whole life, I probably won’t be able to continue living here all too much longer because of the prices skyrocketing for everything, my brother has already had to leave. The lovely town centre is precisely that, a lovely town centre. Plenty of rough spots behind the veil. Biggest one that comes to mind is greenstead, one of the estates in the town with a good bit of crime. There are a lot of desperate people here. A lot of desperate people and a lot of wealthy newcomers. I’ve always lived here and I’m passionate about Colchester, but I’m also falling out of love with it. I live in one of the areas that used to be a street of pensioner houses. Slowly I’ve watched my neighbours die off and be replaced by rich young people from London. I come from a low income family and haven’t been able to escape the minimum wage jobs myself, my chances of having my own place here some day have dwindled to zero.
I used to be based in Colchester late 80s mid 90s when I was in the Army mad ole place on a night used to sit in castle park in the summer was a beautiful park
