We spent a long weekend in Düsseldorf, Germany. Here is one day we spent exploring the city via e-bikes and having some delicious food and drinks. #germany #lifewithleila #livingabroad #düsseldorf #adventure

Come with me, my husband, and Lyla on an adventure through Dusseldorf this past weekend. Here we are about to get on a ferry to cross the river Rine. Was my first time driving a bike up onto a ferry and over. It was kind of scary but kind of exciting as well. The bike trails through Dusseldorf were very pretty and treelined. Uh it was it was an adventure for sure. As we drove through the city, we saw some of these statues uh throughout Dusseldorf through the old town. It was neat and interesting. I don’t know the story behind it. This is the Stata Havens Monument. I’m probably saying that wrong, but it is a bronze statue in the old town of Dussel Dwarf. And from what I understand is this is a celebration uh or supposed to represent Dusseldorf receiving city rights, something to that effect. If I’m right, I’m right. If I’m wrong, please correct me in that. This statue is absolutely remarkable and I could have sat and looked at it for an hour easily. Um, if you’re ever in Oldtown Dusseldorf, I do recommend that you go and take a look at this for sure. We stopped for lunch and uh this was an amazing place to stop and have lunch. We had the best margaritas I have ever had in Germany. They were so good. The guacamole was delicious. The tacos were amazing. So, if you’re ever in Dusseldorf, I do suggest that you stop and have a classic margarita and some tacos. It is an amazing place. It’s Cassida Mexicana. I’m probably saying that also wrong, but it’s delicious. And I highly, highly recommend uh stopping there and having some of the tacos and the margaritas. They’re so good. And I say this as an American who misses really good Mexican food. Here’s Laya. She was people watching and so excited to see everybody walking by. Here is the rat house square of Dusseldorf. Hope you enjoy. It was beautiful. Me and my husband cheering to some beer. We sat down at a table and they just handed us some beer. I do not know the name of what this beer is. It wasn’t our favorite, but we enjoyed our time. Here is another one of those statues. And then this is our way back to our campsite. We took our Volmo Mobile, our camper van to Dusseldorf. And I hope you enjoyed the adventure. And this was our travel on the way back. It was a little rainy. Uh we crossed over the rine um via our bikes and back to our camping spot for the weekend. Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Thank you again for coming along with us and have a great day.
