Anybody carrying Palestine flag is a terrorist supporter end off.
Why don’t these protesters go to Israel if they have a problem with them
Well, watching cycling is a great passion of mine, but I support this cause. Western governments need to stand up to Israel and their lobby groups. Even the commentators seem to agree on this one. Peace and love to all.
Some things are bigger than sport – fuck IPT and genocide-washing – fair play to the Basques. Disappointing the stage was disrupted but respect to the Basques!
Where’s Bernauld Hinault when you need him?!
Great day for Pitcock. I support the cause for Palestine but fricking protestors took away a lifetime achievement and stage win from someone. Also F's with the overall results
Well done to the protestors who made sure their protest wouldn't be watched by anyone. Surely it would be far more effective and visible to just line the whole roadside in your protest and let the riders and cameras go by?
Well done to these protesters ❤. Respect 👌🙏
Those protesters should have been removed from the race course.
People think Tom dropping Jonas means anything on these shorter, lower category, punchy climbs, on harder and longer climbs Jonas would destroy him. Sometimes Tadej gets dropped on the flat sections. The point is Tadej and Jonas use the harder and steeper terrain to dominate. Don't make much of ether getting dropped on easier terrain.
There is nothing more important than cycling!
Well done Spain, the silence from the people in power is appalling, sometimes you have to stand strong. No Pasaran!!!
Sporting events is not a political arena. Go protest somewhere it hinders and impacts the actual perpertrators of whatever you`re protesting. This have the opposite effect of what you think, you`re only pissing off supporters of the sport, making hostiles of the ones you try to impress 🙄🙄
It will catch up to the j's, starting with them taking down Rome/violently imposing christianity on pagan Europe way back when.
i honestly thought the Basques weren't anti semitic jew haters, but this demo gives the opposite impression. Deep shame to the againsf ghe mosat oppressed race in history.
I'm sad for cycling, but I'm glad that people get to watch those whining, pathetic LOSERS destroying everything good and fun and moreover, Spain handling of this is an embarrassment and a disgrace!
Can you get Quest to sort themselves out? All week, the pictures have been so bad I've been unable to follow the highlights. I mean, it's bad enough it not been on ITV4 and I' can't get to see Gary Imlach. Unless, of course, this is all a deliberate ploy to try and get the viewers to subscribe to TNT Sports?
Viva España !!!!
It's time to start thinking about holding this race in another country. Over and over gain, year after year.
The left is truly the cancer of humanity
I think cycling fans in the Basque Country are usually very respectful toward the riders. But today, it was a small group from left-wing parties—people who aren’t even cycling fans—who ruined the event and the riders’ hard work for the sake of their own political goals. Clearly, these left-wing parties follow the principle that “the end justifies the means.” Shameful.
These types of protest are a part of the sport's history. If you race on public roads you have to expect the public to be there. Right now, the public is outraged and rightfully so. Just watch the Hell of the North Documentary.
All those hamas flags should have been gather and burned!
They should have the race in Israel,IDF wont tolerate protesters..
Long live Isreal.
All these protest they just make it that people will care less and less about their cause.
Proud to be basque and avoid the end of the stage. Warning for La Vuelta for letting an Israeli team participate
Para cuando la expulsión del equipo de Israel?
Would never happen in TRUMPS America.
on oct 7 (2023) 1195 Israeli people were murdered by Gaza, Hamas, and other Palestinian militant attackers & terrorists.
Love cycling but I’m also understand the protestors. Stop the genocide. Free Palestine
Weak Policeman in Spain or maybe too many leftists controlling the police. The police should have disbanded the protesters after the problems they have caused during the stage. Don't they have a police for crowds and anti mutinying? In Portugal we release them and they "soften" & disband protesters pretty quickly charging with sticks and rubber bullets. Spain looks like a lawless state when it comes to people that represent the left politicians ideals.
Los palestinos que apoyan a Hamas interumpiendo el deporte 😅
enough of these propallies idiots
as a Catalan, and therefore a Spanish passport holder, I am ashamed of how these idiots are ruining everything with their fake news propaganda
Bulldoz away the protestors..
This is a shame and utterly disrespectful to the riders and teams. You can manifest your ideas as you want but never shall you limit someone else’s freedom. That’s the basis of democracy. Allowing the protesters to stop the stage means bowing to a fascist behaviour
He just show up!!!!
Massive respect for the people of the Basque country for their enduring protest, and they are on the right side of history. It's such a shame that our common passion for cycling is exploited to promote a genocidal state for millions of spectators worldwide to watch. They have a clear, honest and simple demand. If you pay attention to the Vuelta's organisers communication, they are clearly bothered by IPT's presence too and request the UCI to remove them. "Now we have to consider everything and see whether we can either risk a Grand Tour or continue to protect a team that is putting everything else on the line." (src: Sporza)
I'm a big fan of particularly Pidcock and Vingegaard (and WVA to complete the trio), yet both fans and riders are above all people and citizens. It's just cycling! And to be fair some sports journalists also have to look outside of their comfy sports bubble for a second here too.
They say we have to keep sports and politics separated, but it is not the protesters to accuse, it's shit institutions like Israel, fucking UAE, Bahrain, Total, Ineos, Uno-X you know who they are… who ruin every damn place because they seek to promote their disgusting projects on as many platforms as possible. Let cycling be a sport of the people again.
P.S. For clarification, sports can definitely be truly uniting. When for instance Olympic Games are organised, it can be a deeply healing thing when athletes from countries in war participate together, but that is between citizens of these different nations. This here is completely different. We're talking about a state-sponsored team from riders from other countries openly promoting the state and government itself on their shirts and whatnot.
Where ever they go, they spoil things
1. Hamas started the war. Netanyahu responded, more than 10 times worse. What does any of that have to do with a professional bike racing team?
Everybody hates protest scum.
Arrest them all
Allowing the race to be stopped by protesters is enabling those very criminals b
