exTOMex on September 3, 2025 9:34 pm this really only happens when the hanger is bent which is caused from dropping the bike on the derailleur. sometimes it comes bent from shipping but the store should be able to fix it before itβs on the floor
jmford003 on September 3, 2025 9:40 pm I ride a lot (up to 5,000 miles a year) and I’ve had that happen twice. In both cases it was my error: pedalling too hard while shifting.
Swimming-Fan7973 on September 3, 2025 9:52 pm That’s a bent hanger. Won’t be too much to fix but you’re probably not getting that covered by the warranty.Β Really only a couple ways to do that, dropping the bike, crashing the bike, or shifting while putting a ton of force on the pedal.
