  1. To me it looks like you just need to shorted the supports between the basket and the eyelets on the fork. They don’t look adjustable so I would just hack saw them, drill new holes, and clean up the metal a bit with a file.

  2. I went on a bike packing trip with one of these and it was constantly falling no matter how I adjusted it. What ended up working was taking an adjustable strap and going between the steerer tube and the back corners of the basket. Looked sketchy af but worked pretty well until I got home and replaced it with a pizza rack

  3. I’ve found that replacing the Wald hardware at the handlebar with a substantial bolt and nut that allow you to really tighten it down can solve this issue. The provided hardware – with its Phillips head bolt, just doesn’t get tight enough to conform to the bar.

  4. The handlebar clamps need to be really tight to prevent slipping and I hate that they use a phillips instead of a hex bolt. If you own a ratchet set that has a bit adapter try tightening it with that, you’ll get more leverage and it should go tighter.

I got adjustable stays for mine so I could lower the basket. You want the load to be as low and to the rear as possible anyways. I honestly don’t know why the stays that come with the basket are so long, even on my extra large frame they were too long.

  6. Remove the basket and attach it to an actual rack, those stock supports are useless. A rack will also lower the basket and the center of gravity of your entire bike.
