These rims came with my new 2025 Sirrus X 4.0, but with Presta valves instead of the Schrader valves they were supposed to have.
I just mounted Pathfinder Fast Gravel TLRs on them instead of the Pathfinder Sports they came with, using the original tubes, but I’m wondering if I can just go tubeless instead. Any reason these rims wouldn’t work? Would that black tape (I’m guessing it’s just rim tape) need to be removed?

Rims – maybe, I’m unsure if they are tubeless ready. Tape – remove and install actual tubeless tape and valves. Ultimately you won’t know if it works until you try it.

I wouldn’t. Doesn’t have the right shape to retain the bead.

If not marked as tubeless ready don’t bother, just go tpu or standard tubes, honestly I’m a little casual but work in bike shop and have bailed on tubeless in favour of tubes in favour of lack of maintenance
