I am moving to Germany next week and I have narrowed down the following choices. I am not an expert on bikes unfortunately even though I have been riding all my life. I am looking for a light bike (7-8kg) due to a health condition that does not allow me to pick up heavy things and ideally a bike that will be reliable for long distances and wont break if I accidentally go over a bad puddle. Both bikes priced a tad above 1.5k

FUJI bike: Year 2015, total mileage approx. 7000km Technically and visually perfect condition, very well maintained Weight: 7.4kg Tires: Continental GP5000, 25mm Chain: KMC X11SL, waxed with Silca hot melt.

Dura Ace: Self-built Canyon Ultimate CF SL road bike. Complete Shimano Dura Ace 2×11-speed groupset.

Both look nice, however, I can not judge if bike age or custom build is better in this situation.

  1. Both bikes look just as good and absolutely won’t hold you back. Canyon would probably have more resale value, but that Fuji looks like an absolute weapon.

I think I’d judge by seeing how low you can get both sellers to go and making a decision from there.
