  1. in Paris 2024 one Kazakh won gold, he was paid 200 000$ from the government, multiple gifts like apartments and cars and one businessman gifted him a hundred horses

  2. I live in Hong Kong and I think they pay $6M HKD ( abt $769k USD ) for gold medalists, and I think that's a fair amount of reward money after subtracting the all the training & equipment ect fees.

  3. Which is nothing considering that they don't get paid outside of the Olympics unless they have a sponsor. At least here you get a police or military job even if you don't win anything so that you can continue training, it's still not optimal but you can work on your athletic career without having to worry about eating!
Edit to add: actually, in Italy you don't even have to be an Olympic athlete to qualify for this position, you just have to be of national interest at least (i.e., participation in CONI certified national matches) and pass the state annual tests (both theory and practice)

  4. Well malaysia have never won any gold medal.. at they would be offering 1 million ringgit malaysia, for the first ever olympic gold medal.. but thats what make the pressure much higher than ever.. 😂
