  1. Back in ‘22 people were tripping over themselves to say Wout and always would be a far superior rider to Mathieu as he bossed the peloton in both the yellow and green jerseys for a few weeks. I didn’t buy them that he was far superior. These last 2 years people will say Mathieu is far superior. I like the take that they’re fairly equal. Maybe a slight edge to Mathieu on total palmares, but it’s splitting hairs.

  2. Actually we could have predicted this since MVDP was out and WVA rode 20 stages quite leisurely to get ready for the last one.

  3. People don't realize how one of a kind WVA is. Who else do you know today can win on Ventoux while also winning Green jerseys and classics. At his best he's something special and 1 of 1

  4. Thanks to Poels illness Wout takes the stage. He knows it. We all know it. A shame cause the battle would have been greater.

  5. This stage with Mathieu would have been different. Look, Wout had time to prepare for this stage. Pogi didn't. This stage was a 100% Wout or Mathieu stage. Would have loved to see them compete to eachother on this stage, I thing we all would love to see that. Nevertheless, chapeau for Wout.
