Shouldn’t be any other caps, if you can pop those caps off though without damaging them you can get to the actual bearing. When you see the bearing there should be a little cover that you can pop off with a little screw driver (gently) and then clean the inside of it with a rag/wipe and then repack with new grease. You should be able to do the same to the back of the bearings by taking the bottom bracket (larger black shell with ridges) off using something called a bottom bracket tool. After the bottom bracket has been taken off you should be greeted with the same colour seel as before, so its the exact same process as before. Once you’ve done this to both sides, clean the inside of the frame where the threads are and grease the threads then put the bottom bracket cups in either side (you have a left and right cup so make sure they are on the correct sides of the bike, another important thing to mention is that one of the cups goes in with a reverse thread so be warned.) And then tighten down and ensure they are tight. Then put the cranks back in ETC. Any other help let me know.
