IDK much about vintage bikes, but want to get one for local Eroica style race. Seller states it has carbon frame. I asked chat GPT, it says:

  • Brand/Model: Basso (likely a mid-2000s model, possibly “Viper Carbon” or similar)
  • Frame Material: Carbon fiber (monocoque top tube design with visible carbon weave pattern)
  • Wheel Size: 28” (700c standard for road bikes)
  • Drivetrain: Campagnolo Chorus 9-speed (2×9 setup, around late ’90s to early 2000s)
  • Brakes: Campagnolo Chorus dual-pivot calipers
  • Shifters: Campagnolo Ergopower Carbon BB System levers
  • Rear Derailleur: Campagnolo Chorus 9-speed
  • Rims: Racing style (possibly older Mavic or Campagnolo)
  • Saddle: Modern-looking racing saddle (yellow-black), probably not original

Should I buy it?
