I think I know the answer to this, which is that I f’d up.
I have a Liv Langma Advance pro 1 bike. I was certain that the handlebar was aluminium and so I’ve ridden with aero bars all summer. Taken the bars off for the end of Tri season and it looks like actually they were carbon and I’ve essentially crushed them.
I assume the answer is a new handlebar? Any recs for reasonably priced in the UK? Looks like the like-for-like replacement is £299 (Giant Contact SLR) plus installation, is that the going rate?
Yes, I feel very stupid, and also very lucky this hasn’t completely failed mid ride. If I’d known they were carbon I wouldn’t have used the aero bars!

Good thing you caught this, these bars are dangerous now. Not in the UK so I can’t give a recommendation.
Lucky you checked! That was only gonna end one way. Ritchey bars are always well-priced IMO, and more design/size/shape options than you can shake a stick at: [https://ritcheylogic.com/bike/handlebars](https://ritcheylogic.com/bike/handlebars)
