Oh, I would even say they are dangerous! From my own experience, the more straps, cords or strings sticking out on the outside, the more likely you are to run into trouble – you can easily get them caught on branches in the forest, a fence or any part that sticks out – ANYTHING.
Why experiment when you already have trusted brands like Ortlieb, Extrawheel, Vaude, Crosso… and probably a few more.
