Normally my NBD shots are of some glamorous backcountry location. However, 48 hrs after buying my new-to-me 2020 Salsa Cutthroat, photo #2 happened.

So Cuttie stands sentinel in the garage while we find out if this is meniscal (weeks) or an ACL (6-9 mos).

Currently bone stock 2020 (new model) Cutthroat w/SRAM 1x??. Previous owner put about 200 miles on it towing the kids in a trailer on local rail trails. Got it for a song, with plans of parting out my self-built Nine RLT aluminum gravel bike and selling my BMC FS MTB. I will probably take those proceeds and 'spring' for front suspension.

I hit N+1 several months ago, so this was a way to get onto rougher terrain, bike pack, AND keep (make) my wife happy.

I guess I'll spend the next while working on route finding for my "spine of Utah" idea (north to south ride along the Wasatch range).

Spin the cranks for me a few times, y'all…
