Never had a handlebar snap on me before like that. Luckily it happened when i was riding along with my buddies and decided to playfully ram a friend in front of me who was drifting through the sand at a walking speed. The impact was so small i didn't even lose balance which made it even more ridiculous. No point talking about what could've happened if it failed on a drop or at speed, yuck
Had to stick it on a stick and ride back home one handed đȘ

Would this not have happend if you had the same handlebar but paid 10x the price for it?
lol, I was going to ask if you were droppin in on a sick jump, but that slight of an impact breaking them is scary.
Thatâs two things I always buy from a name brand, bars and stems.
Are those aluminum?? This is why steel is the way.
cheap stems are dangerous too.

probably a fabrication defect but still dangerous.
Next to the weld, eh? Guessing the bar wasnât tempered correctly after welding. Hope youâre unscathed.
Are you sure it was a small impact? Those handlebars are pretty thick, it would take a big hit to cause it to break like that…I’ve used cheap handlebars even on trails and jumps my whole life and that never happened to me. Maybe

Lucky man!
Glad you got back in one piece.
What bars are these?
YIKES.
What was the brand name on these?
I think I might have picked up the same bars recently đŹ
What does *âcheapâ* mean? Where (store/website) did you buy it? what brand? how much?
I’m all in on that field fix. Excellent use of a stick.
This bar should not snap like this it should bendâŠ
Probably when welded this area was cooled down fast and aluminum became brittle, should of been cooled down gradually
Motorcycle bars for life. Literally
