  1. It’s no different to a slot machine really because when enough people have played and lost the grip tightens on the claws , it has different pressure and when enough money is taken that’s when you win

  2. Once when i was on the 9th grade we were on a class trip and came across a claw machine and i decided to try my luck
An EA walked up to the machine and said "that only works in toy story"
And then i got the prize FIRST TRY

  3. It grips only after it has reach a certain amount of dollar. Learnt this from a friend. He used to wait for others to waste their money on it. Then when he played it, he knew his would grip properly coz its reached 20 bux or whatever it was.

  4. Truth is, like a slot machine it has to take in so much money before the claw😂uses enough strength to grab the toys and they shake when it goes back up to the top

  5. I work on arcade machines. Yeah, those things are totally rigged. The strength of the claw is either low, mid, or high, with high being set to go off every set number of times. Most will set it to have enough plays to pay for the item before it switches to high. But there really is a skill to it. Just because you got a strong claw doesn't mean you were lined up right. The best way to win is to watch someone else play. If they have a near miss, they prob got a mid-strength claw. When you see that around 4-5 of them, the strong one will normally be a little after, roughly. There are also some machines without the mid-strength claw, but they are normally the old machines because mid wasn't invented until later. Hope that helps

  6. I remember I spend70$ for a plushie in claw machine for my ex and all grip fails no matter what I do, I learn that it ain't worth it if the plushie cost 20-30$ but I waste 70$ and I walk away and never touch a crane machine again

  7. …You're literally explaining what the game is, not any trick. I kept watching thinking that you'd have something that my son couldn't figure out when he was 2… 🤣

  8. Really..Arcades don't want you to know to line up the middle if the claw over the prize?!..That's it? I thought that was how to play the game, nit a secret they don't want you to know!

  9. 1 tip i have is for the rigged Elaut machines you see all over the place. Often times if the machine is going to pay out soon, it will hang onto the prize longer. Like it will drop the prize when it hits the top instead of 1/4 of the way up. I use that knowledge every time i go to the boardwalk and play at arcades there and i usually walk away with alot of stuff because i can tell when claws are ready. Doesnt always work but id say 90% of the time its correct.

  10. Only problem with this is sometimes the vendor over crowds the machines and nothing is get able. I tried even by the prize chute and didn’t budge.

  11. Sometimes, though, it means that the prizes are totally unwinnable because even with payout set, something is broken! In line with this tip, though, if the machine is really full, taking a picture for comparison might be easier!

  12. Old arcade tech here. Claw machines usually have an invisible sort of "counter" with how many people play. The more plays, the tighter the claw grips.
