Is there a good way to know how to pick a route in The Netherlands that is likely to be scenic? Should I be using the Fietsknoop more?
I’ve been using the Beeline app and it will often take me on a boring bike path along the side of a road. My first two days were in the regions of South Holland and Utrecht. Are these two regions just a bit dull? This morning was good though because I went to the Hoge Veluwe.
Also any advice on the most scenic way to get from the first circle to the second would be greatly appreciated!
Finally I’ll just add that the cities have been beautiful and the variety of bike infrastructure is fascinating, and kapsalon kebap is an incredible discovery!

You could just follow the eurovelo route along the Maas. I cycled it earlier this year until Namur and I liked it a lot. Well maintained and beautiful environment. And if you want to see more scenic stuff, take a little detour through the Maasduinen.
What exactly do you want? How long is the route allowed to be? Personally I would avoid the maasroute/ev19 and stay east of the Meuse river. You may need to zigzag a bit to get the best out of it, but imho Maasduinen is much better than the Unesco protected westbank of the river. After Venlo, hug the Dutch/German border to Herzogenrath and follow the Wurm tall to Aachen. Then into Belgium to Raeren, Malmedy, Stavelot, Marche en Famenne to Dinant. Not the flattest route possible, nor the shortest, but with Maasduinen, Meinweg and Hoge Venen-Eifel, landscape wise about the best it can be.
