First, let me say—this bike is unlike any other I’ve ridden. It doesn’t even compare to my Tern Verge S11i.

There’s practically no weight to it. Handling is effortless, steering is light, and the foam bar grips felt… well, I’m a bit speechless. The narrow handlebar will take some getting used to. I tend to pedal standing up when climbing grades, and that was a bit tricky to manage.

I’m no stranger to small-diameter wheels—I’ve owned several motor scooters, including a Honda Silver Wing 600, which actually has smaller tires than the Brommie. With more saddle time, I’m confident I’ll build trust in them.

With a few necessary adjustments, I’m confident it’ll be a perfect 👌 fit for exploring Scotland.

  1. I also pedal or just ride standing sometimes, for better view angle of the road to notice possible obstacles or road issues. How different is stand riding on brompton vs. other bicycles? I can imagine the handlebar flexes more, but what else?
