It’s a 3Rensho Super Record Export with a Nuovo Record drivetrain and slightly newer Chorus monoplanar brakes. I love how the brakes look with the fork crown, but I realize that doesn’t really show here. The hubs are Nuovo Record, which are held by some Hoshi bladed spokes to some kind of semi-aero Araya rims. The spokes might be my favorite part of the bike.
I don’t think I’ll ever change a thing about it. I know people like to build these with Japanese parts, which I understand, but there’s something that just clicks with me about the combination of Japanese and Italian. I haven’t ridden it in a while, so today I got to have one of those great rides where you fall in love with a bike for the nth time.
