Does anyone here know how to best remove this stem cap (Allen key) without damaging it any further?
It’s made of some sort of plastic and tbh I’m not sure if it’s just a cap or what’s going on here.
Also if anyone knows if there is a modern replacement available please link me to one. It’s already cracked anyway so either way needs replacing.
Any help is much appreciated 🙏

That’s God’s stem cap now.
While I’m not familiar with that particular stem, I’m not sure you’re supposed to unscrew that cap. Every cap I’ve ever seen seen is a press-fit not screw fit. Just get a small screwdriver or a knife blade and prise it out.
Appears to be a 1980’s Shimano AX stem. It used to take an allen wrench before someone mangled it. I would tap a flathead screwdriver into it to unscrew it since its shot anyway. I did a quick Google search and found a cap on Ebay for $21.60
