Took the tire off and found some good size sealant boogers, along with a thin to medium layer on the inside lining of the tire? Should I worry about cleaning this off as much as possible to help the fresh sealant do it's job? Or should I just leave it in as a sort of poor man's cush core 😂

I wouldn’t bother cleaning it too much. Just take the big chunks out.
Or maybe think about buying new tires.
I’ve seen people use a hand drill to kind of unroll it off the tire. I’ve used natural rubber erasers to varying degrees of effectiveness.
The rubber trim stripping wheel from Amazon does it pretty quick
I use beer. That is, i grab a six pack, sit down, and get to work. Once you hit the f__k stage, they are good enough.
Keep rubbin buddy. Dry sealant doesn’t seal.
You can do as much or as little as you like. I’m not sure if there is any reason, other than weight, that you NEED to remove the old stuff. I do clean my tires out so there’s that. I really you replace the sealant before it all dries and sticks to the tire, but that takes time effort and forethought.
I’ve had problems sealing a tire, and finally got it after cleaning it out. I have used a rubber disc used to remove car decals/vinyl with a battery drill that let’s you control rpm at a very slow pace. A bit of patience is needed too.
