Quite chuffed with myself overall. Not as scary as initially thought.

Put it on the largest rear cog and repost a photo then.

Looks like it’s gonna end up short

I’m a roadie, so maybe I’m just used to road setups, but isn’t your B screw that controls distance of the top jockey wheel to the cassette way off? The closer you run it to your cassette, the snappier the shifting (unless you get too close, in which case it chokes or the jockey wheel ends up running on the cassette – neither good).
In terms of tension, though, so long as you can shift into the biggest gear without reaching the mechanical limit of the derailleur arm (accounting for vibrations, bouncing around, etc.) then you’re fine.

Yikes. You’re only in 4th gear but your derailleur cage is out that much? Hard to tell for sure but it looks like you’re going to come up quite short.

For mullets, the Park Tool video recommends +4 with the largest to largest method.

It’s short by like 3-4 links by the looks of it. Thats about where it should be when on the biggest cog.

Well done! But why are people scared of front mech so much?
