Cause it’s a cheap chainring and bottom bracket. Stop it with the wannabe gangster shit it’s cringe asf
Are the cranks and bottom bracket lubricated?
Maybe your chain sits too tight. Loosing it could help. Had some similar noises with mine.
If you broke your chain recently, the knuckle might be pinched.
mine was making similar noise and it ended up being my seatpost. Took it apart, cleaned and re-greased (and fiber gripped) everything and it went away.
Check your chain tension.
Also it could be bad chainline.
It’s what happens when everything is black.
Check the bolts on the chainring too, one might be loose. Had my fixie start making a similar noise when I put a [super toughness](https://a.co/d/1NGlfpb) chain on it just a lil too short (way too tight)
My shit sounded like this when I lost a chainring bolt and didn’t realize
Check the chain ring you may have dinged it hard I have the same noise and it’s catching on the chain
