  1. I’m not recommending you ride it. If it was my bike I would have zero concerns and ride it without worry.

  2. I can say without hesitation that it is safe to ride like that. However… A dent like that will likely reduce the life of your frame.

    It’s not a sign of a crack, unless you see some cracks.

  3. Completely inconsequential. That is a very small change in the section moment of inertia, which is the critical parameter in the potential buckling of the seat tube. That is just a battle scar.

  4. Looks like a roadish townie bike. You might be ok for a while. Beware if you do anything off road though. Just saw a friends bike with an innocuous dent like that on his MTB. Over a small jump and the tube cracked in half right at the dent.

    A tiny dent. It might even come out by gentle heating and cooling (heatgun/hairdryer, ice water).. careful not to damage the paint.

  6. No. Just means there is a dent. Luckily it’s white paint so you will see cracks easier.
