I think it’s a good buy personally, there isn’t much better for the money.
Worth mentioning the frame only is £999, which a better shock too.
As an exercise you could see how much it would cost to spec up a similar build.
I believe the geo hasn’t changed for a few years, so it’s worth comparing with geo on newly released bikes to see what’s different on that front.

I was also looking at the saracen ariel 60’s, only thing I was slightly put off by was the superboost frame.
Seems like a dying standard, at least outside DH so was a bit worried about what wheel options there might be in a few years as I tend to keep hold of bikes for a while.
If youre not bothered about this then can’t go wrong at this price.

Honestly it looks just fine. I’d rip on one and be stoked. For the price the frame and shock looks good too. There might be better options for the price if you hunt around, but if it appeals to you and you like what the reviews say about it vs your needs – nae worry be happy.
