  1. I am normally against protesters or fans disrupting bike races. However, Russian athlets have to compete under white neutral flag for their country invading Ukraine, while a team literally named Israel has zero consequences for their country genocide of civilians in Palestine. Double standards are sick.

  3. Modern day Nazis. Shame the motorbikes didn't burst through. Hope they get charged for the dangerous act that was. Its not protest I hsge spent years doing direct action sucsessfully, that was pure public nuisance via attempted assault.

  4. Catalonia has a strong affinity towards 🇵🇸 and their plight, so it should be no surprise that the protests happened today. Plus it was the perfect opportunity, in that no other team was affected ❤

  5. It is really baffeling to me how many people are celebrating the Protests against IPT, whilst never supporting Protests against or even speaking Out against other Nations or Companies commiting human rights violations Sponsoring Teams. I mean, Look at the Impact of Saudi Arabia in Yemen, with way higher Numbers of death and starvation (Just to Reiterate, even 1 as a count for death and starvation is too high).

It does not seem believable that now they grew a spine, and this is Not a double-standard against a jewish state or Just performative bs.

  6. I've loved seeing the Palestinian flags on the side of the road for the last two years, and proud of those brave protestors disrupting the Israeli team.

We shouldn't pretend sports exists outside our world or is this sacred thing above politics. We need to talk about the heinous countries and business interests ruining this beautiful sport. Israel, UAE, Saudi, all the oil companies, we cycling fans should not be silent against them! Get them out of the sport

  7. Lol Selective Justice Warriors. Poor cyclists, train and condition for their careers, only to get disrupted for something they aren't even responsible for😂

It's like someone ruining your career because of your sweat shop clothes or mining horror phone.😅

  8. hate they do protests in cycling that already is pressured on security soon it will be a dead sport if people want to do protests in cycling it is so easy. but even if i am for free gaza i hate prostests like this so lame… hate it in sport go do it vs politicians or military or something else leave sport alone at least.

  9. It is to the shame of cycling that IPT have been allowed to ride in any of the races, none of the cyclists or support staff who work for that team can claim they were unaware of the genocide israel and Jewish fascism is carrying out on the Palestinian people. A genocide has been livestreamed into our homes, the Israel government boosted how it ws going to strave the people of Gaza, and yet we are supposed to pretend a cycling team, funded by a canadian/israeli zionist billionaire, isn't sportwashing. The Giro detroyed itself by allowing the race to start in Israel in 2018 just as the IDF were deliberaltely shooting Palestinian protesters in the legs, now as cycling fans we need to be clear, IPT needs to be thrown out of cycling for good.

  10. Remember when team Gazprom were banned following the Russian invasion of Ukraine? How about we hold IPT to the same standard – or does our outrage not extend to when Western "allies" commit atrocities? Shame of the UCI for permitting this sportswashing.

  11. For those that don't know why the Gaza issue is so upsetting and seems to take precedence over other 'conflicts', a good book to read is 'Israeli Apartheid' by Ben White. There are many others, but this one is a good starting point.

  12. Every reputable human rights group has either published a report or stated that Israel is committing genocide and has subjected Palestinians to an apartheid system for years.

Reporting the protest is great, but it doesn't help address the issue when context is not provided. Please Lanterne Rouge, report on the context of the protest to bring attention to the horrific human rights violations that Israel Premier-Tech is implicated in through their owner and sponsor.

  13. Very happy to see protests against IPT, has felt like a massive elephant in the room since I got into cycling. Same with UAE and TBV.

  14. I support protest, but I would like to see paint on the roads, banners along the course,… like it was with the farmers protesting in Belgian classics. Luckily this protest wasn't dangerous but it gaves the protesters a negative name.
