Is this normal? What should I do? It's a 2017 Rockshox Lyrik. I bought it two weeks ago and I'm just realizing that, the previous owner told me that it had already been serviced.
Is what normal? I don’t see anything in the photo worth mentioning.

usually scoring like that on the stanchion is an indication of lack of servicing, like the dust wipers have started to fail and started ingressing all kinds of foreign debris and scratching up the insides.
unless you’ve done your research, i’d be wary on buying used suspension components, especially old ones, like there’s an eight year gap from 2017 -2025 and anywhere between those eight years it could never been serviced until to this point and trusting some random stranger words “oh yeah, just serviced it recently” doesn’t particularly give the warm and fuzzies.
honestly, you already bought it, if you don’t see/feel any unusual performance degradation, just keep riding.
