I’m planning a two nighter in Germany, on the route Hermannsweg -Epic Road, that I copied from Beat Cycling on Komoot. Will pack light and bivy out at some huts along the route. My total ride will be around 250k and just under 5000m of elevation.
I have two bike options, full suspension xc as attached or a gravel bike with max 42mm tire clearance, what would you take?

I’ve done the first stage lately, Hörstel to BadIburg. If you stick to the Hermannsweg i’d suggest the gravel-bike. If you are hitting the trails left and right, something with a suspension fork is advisable. But nothing my Hardtail wasn’t capable of. S2 maybe.
