Put this together over the past many months, buying parts every month or other month depending on how broke I was that month. Was an almost completely stock 87 hardrock when I got it. The aim was to teach myself a variety of modding and make something fun and cool. Lots of frustration and cursing through the various setbacks and there's a lot to improve but it feels so good to have put something together.
She clanks and creaks and I need to dial in the chain length a little more I think, but she rides and I'm having a ton of fun. What should I do next?

Sounds exactly like the same process I’m going through lol. I do try to see the bright side of only getting one or two things a month. I think if i had the money to buy everything all at once i would make a ton of mistakes, have to make returns or put stuff that isn’t compatible into a parts bin.
The next thing you should do is tell me how you like those tires. The whole bike looks sweet, love the vibe, but the tires are my favorite.

Does that chain even go to the largest cog? Looks like it’s already under a lot of strain on that smaller cog. I’m no expert on 1x drivetrains though.
