yea, exactly as the title says. I originally thought it was some sort of issue with the hub but nope, upon further inspection it was actually the brakes. But this time not the brake pads which is one of the most common issues and I’ve had to deal with that as well on another bike. To troubleshoot this, I’m thinking about trueing the wheel so it rolls more straight. I was also thinking about reducing the tire pressure (it’s 50 psi atm) but I remember I rode this bike with at most 30 psi the other day and still heard this same sound but during the time I didn’t know the issue was coming from the brake springs. Has anyone else had this same problem, any suggestions would be helpful.

  1. Please shake the camera a bit more, we can still barely see what’s happening…
If your rim is not straight as well: true it.
If it’s just the tire: Deflate it and inflate it making sure it is properly seated.

the brake pads look miles away from the rim, have you tried adjusting them in and seeing what happens?

I’m guessing you’re running a front tyre on your back wheel?

Trueing the wheel, making sure the wheel is straight in the dropouts and making sure the tyre is sitting properly on the rim will probably fix the issue

But if the tyre is too wide then you’re working with pretty small tolerances and you’ll run into these problems a lot

You’d be better either running brakeless or getting a thinner tyre
