Today’s video is a short POV cycling trip from Lyon’s 7th arrondissement to the brand new secured bike parking at Gare Part-Dieu, which opened in May 2025!
It is called ‘Velopark Béraudier’, and with two floors and a capacity of 1,500 bicycles, it is now the largest bike parking facility in France — a major step forward for cycling and sustainable mobility in Lyon. Though it’s still obviously nothing compared to Amsterdam or the Netherlands in general.

Along the way, you’ll ride through some urban cycling paths, discover parts of Lyon’s bike-friendly network (some are still work in progress), and get a close look at this pretty cool new infrastructure!

I’m LyonFietser, I’ve lived in Lyon for over 4 years and I make silent videos where I ride my bicycle in or around the city, with subtitled commentaries. Hope you enjoy the content!
