with the widest tire you can get on it nah it will still be more off an all road bike but that can be fun to.

  2. It depends. I did a quick google search and the st600 may fit 35mm tires (it’s not very clear), which by today’s standards is pretty narrow but like 5 years ago was pretty standard. I wouldn’t invest a ton of money into it or take it on super crazy technical trails. But like rail trails or tow paths, sure that will do.

Edit: I had an SC600, a crit ninja bike. The ST should accept fatter tires and may be a fun gravel crusher.

    Leaving the rest for posterity:

I had one of those back in the day. My first road bike.

Panaracer makes some 26mm Gravel King slicks that might fit in the rear triangle.

    It’s an incredibly tight fit.

That bike is going to be sketchy on fat white rocks, especially on steep descents.

That said, all bikes are gravel bikes if you believe in yourself and try hard enough.

  4. Any bike is a gravel bike if you want it to be!
Will it be as capable as a modern, purpose-built gravel bike? Not even close.
Have people been riding bike like that on unpaved roads for years? Absolutely.
Just figure out what’s the widest tire you can fit into the frame and send it.

  5. You might crack the frame if you start riding it on rough stuff all the time. It would probably be fine on smooth packed dirt. A steel frame would be better.

It looks like a touring bike because of the cantilevers and long chainstays.

Edit: It’s actually a ST400! Not that it changes much, I’m still gonna turn this thing into a lean machine 🙏
