Agressor is the entry level I think. I have an Avalanche and love it.
If you find blue and purple parts for it, it will look very good!

Looks like shit. I mean, you definitely can built a rideable bike by adding brakes, cables, chain etc spending around a $100 more but it will be a generic aluminium hardtail bike.

It’s the generic dicks sporting goods entry mtb. It’s functional, I had one as my entry bike and it handled brown county indiana just fine. With a fork and tire swap it could be a fair enough city do all bike. As is its not great for much else but budget cross country

That bike is not old or shitty enough to be immediately cool around here. You can still build it up as you wish and it would be perfectly practical

I have one of these as my hardtail. I swapped out the drivetrain and tires and it serves me very well. Not fancy, but functional.

Anything can be an Xbike if you do something weird enough with it.
But do weird well. If you do weird bad it is just a burning man bike.

I would go the single speed xc mtb route. Cheap, fun, and it will make you a better rider.

Guarantee someone wanted the brakes and group set but atm bike parts are silly money, so they bought this on special, stripped the parts needed and are now selling the frameset/wheels as quick possible.
It is a perfectly adequate bike as an entry/low level MTB but it’s fine as a starting block, but it is entry level alu with a modern budget coil fork! Though you’ll be paying a pretty penny to get it to stock, but if you got parts around id say it’s a deal!
Source: myself and two other people I rode with did this with a few boardmans that were great spec and below 400 after our trade discount (think the shifters/ brakes were that on their own haha)

Under $20 per triangle? That’s a bargain!

Looks like it needs a good bit of work, and some parts. Probably a decent deal if you’re comfortable getting all that sorted out.
Edit: Regardless of what level of entry the frame is. If you like the frame, ya like it! What more is there to it?

Absolutely!

Offer $20. They are only going to be able to sell that to someone with a parts bin.

Portland? I saw the same post. I’m visiting for a few days and trying to find the cheapest weird beater bike to buy looks sick just to many parts to ride.

Yep. I’d pull the trigger

I’d probably grab it for that price but I generally prefer more of a vintage

What are you looking to do with it? This has the 3 red flags: 26” wheels, QRs, and straight steer tube

I think my good friend [Paul](https://www.paulcomp.com/) has a few opinions on the matter.

Do a drum brake conversion on it.
Why are you even asking?
