  1. If it works and you’re having a good time you’re doing a lot of things right already.

    It does look like you might have more things on you than necessary.
    Pay attention to what you could’ve done without and keep that in mind during the next trip.
    The less stuff you have to carry around the more comfortable you’ll be while riding, especially uphill.

    That being said, if what you have works fro you, no need to spend a bunch of money on ultralight gear

  2. People keep saying that this looks like too much stuff for a multi-day trip. Can someone explain to me how a setup for 5 days might differ from a setup for 5 weeks. You still need all equipment for fixing your bike, your sleep system, clothes for all weather etc. The thing I can imagine is that you might need to carry more food depending on the route. Please enlighten me, because I imagine I have a tendency to over-pack.
