How’s it possible that you crashed? Weird things happen when you crash.
Likely your heel pushed the bottom chain up and into the chain stay.

Your chainring didn’t hit the frame. Your chain did.
Will have been pulled around the chainring too far when you crashed, but this can happen in normal riding.

I have the same scratch from getting the cain stuck on the derailer. Maybe your chain scratched it during your crash?

I have similar on both my bikes my advice is to throw some protective tape over that area , but that’s mainly to preserve aesthetics more than anything imo.

think the bikes done for,
your chain can move around, and fall off and damage this area. very common spot to ding up. your chainring cant hit here thats impossible unless it fell off your cranks or you broke a crank.

Not sure what you are looking at. That dent there is clearance, part of the design. Looks a little aggressive but I would guess it is normal. Go to a bike shop and look to see if that area of a new bike frame is the same.

Crashes ruin the paint? Just don’t crash! easy.
