Off Facebook Marketplace, 27 speed Shimano Ultegra components. Less than 500 miles.
Seems to be clean and generally in good condition (besides one of the front cogs possibly needing to be replaced due to wear). Is this worth $500?

Think this is pretty old, at least 20 years. Not sure how you could possibly measure mileage over that length of time, even if they’re the original owner. And chainrings don’t wear out after 500 miles.
The groupset is fine but at that age not exactly super desirable. So you’ve gotta assume that most of the asking price is in the wheels. Is that the most important thing for you if you’re looking for a starter road bike? Probably not.
Think I’d pay around 300-350 for this personally.
At least for the Dura Ace 9 speed STI these will fail at some point and you won’t be able to shift anymore. There’s a plastic part inside that wears down and can’t be replaced. This likely as well applies to the Ultegra shifters.
Therefore you’ll sooner or later need expensive new shifters.
I wouldn’t pay more than $180 for this bike.
