THE ROUTE: The 20.4km (12.6 mi) ride starts on Pont du Petit Parc Pont de Saint-Maur. That’s the bridge connecting Champigny-sur-Marne and Joinville-le-Pont to Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, located near the Barrage de Joinville. We then take a left turn on the Quai du Petit Parc and ride with the river to our left for quite some time. Some 45 minutes later, we’ll take the Passerelle de la Pie (a small bridge) onto ÃŽle Sainte-Catherine (Créteil), then onto ÃŽle Brise-Pain before taking the Passerelle d’ Halage back across the river again to make our way alongside the river toward the town of Joinville-le-Pont around the 1:08hr mark. A couple of minutes later, we’ll cross Pont de Joinville-le-Pont and head toward the Barrage de Joinville, where the ride will end at 1:16 (one hour and sixteen minutes).
