On my Cube Nuroad C62 Ex 2025 size L, I had to replace the 10cm stem with an 8cm stem. However you can't buy the original Cube CIS Stem anywhere. I therefore went with an Easton EA70. It now look like this on the picture. Cable management was no issue but is it a bad idea to ride the bike with that gap below the stem?

Any suggestion for a stem that is actually deliverable and fits properly is highly appreciated.

Id cut the little nub off the spacer under the stem so the stem fits flush on it.

  2. I would order the right part. With the spacers not being evenly pressed down you’ll likely mess up your headset due to improper pre load and have to replace that one as well.

You can buy these online, but usually any Cube retail store can get these for you. Being at retail price that would save you the shipping and they can ensure that the right part gets ordered.

  3. Just buy an appropriate regular spacer(s) to make up for the difference. The Cube stem was clearly shaped to mate with the top spacer and cap and that’s no longer the case. Don’t go cutting anything, just spend a few bucks at the LBS.
