      Great end, desperately needed that after last season. Thought we were abysmal defensively throughout to be honest. No communication, poor positioning and passing. They let a big slow lump get in on goal so easily, and it happened a couple more times. Let them have some great chances from set pieces too.

      We had a lot of the ball and created a lot of half chances. Armstrong was awful though. Looks miserable and like he didn't want to be there throughout. But he's never been a good striker, only a wide forward. Thought Stewart looked far busier.

      Bazunu, Manning, Fraser and Charles the real standout performers.

      Fair play Jack Stephens. I've given him a lot of stick over the years but he put in a great performance at the back today and won us the game.

      How did McClean stay on the pitch. Wrexham's 12th man the ref was a disgrace missed 3 clear penalties for Southampton. Saints miles better but left it late

      Manning and Stevens! Not the most popular until today. Great free kick, and never say die. Mr J Quarshie was my MoM. assured and a long throw in. Still should work out how to use it.

      As a long suffering saints fan I was so relived to have won this game. We had not one but two clear cut pens and neither were given, which as a home team was a total shambles. The fact that our game was live on Sky means they were sensing an upset, and the fact that it was the only game where highlights shown on Channel 4 news meant they were too. Thanks to the genius of Ryan Manning brilliant free kick and the much maligned Jack “The Hack” Stephens last minute winner we would’ve been on the 10 o’clock news as well.

      Absolutely diabolical refereeing. The Wrexham forward one on one with the keeper was bundled over behind. It was such an obvious penalty and sending off. This is why we have VAR. The ref's decisions here have affected the result.

      From a neutral point of view, that was VERY harsh I thought on Wrexham. A game of two halves and they ran out of steam. A draw would've been fair. But the good news for Saints fans is now you know you can play quite badly at times this season and still get points.

      Good start for Will Still and a good introduction into the championship can’t wait to see how he does it’s going to be very challenging for him but I reckon he will do well Southampton have a very exciting manager on their hands

      I stopped watching at 1:06 apparently pushing someone down in the box is not a pen. The only people who will say it's not a penalty are Southampton fans. If that were going the other way they would be screaming that Ryan and Rob bought the refs 😂 Wrexham will be fine this year if this is all the efl has to offer, they were better the whole game.
