I rode a gravel bike for the first time ever. I took it on the trail I usually run (11km, 400m elevation), and it was glorious, just glorious!
There was some loose gravel on a downhill section, I shit my pants and walked the bit like a road cyclist wimp that I am.
How didn't I try this before?
This is like being kissed by the gods!

Great to see such enthusiasm. You will soon learn to enjoy the most varied terrains
Piggybacking on this.. im a new gravel cyclist myself and I too am not super confident when it comes to loose gravel. I feel like my rear slips and loses traction sometimes which scares me a little.
Does anyone have any tips or tricks? I’ve already set my PSI to what some online calculators recommended.
Thanks!
I am an avid road biker, but recently bought my 1st gravel bike to prep for Rwanda/Uganda trails. I went for a 30mile gravel ride last weekend here in Texas and boy I loved it! Its was more satisfying than road for sure.
Just wait till you get to exploring places you haven’t been to before 😀
