  1. Unscrew your cable on derailleur end, shift it to highest gear so no initial tension is applied, tension the cable on derailleur and screw it again. Should work fine

  2. It looks like the cable for derailleur has come loose at the derailleur end. See if the cable has slipped from the retaining screw there. If it has, put the derailleur at the smallest cog, and add just enough tension to take up the slack by pulling the cable with pliers….then tighten screw down on cable.

    edited to add…..you can then fine tune the tension and shifting quality by using the screw in / out adjuster where the cable exits the shifter.
