Here’s a few of my latest builds. I love these old MTBs and what you can do with them. They all turned out great.
The Litespeed Ti Gravel is the most recent and most challenging build. For this one it all started for me finding a cheap used Rohloff hub.. Next I found the Litespeed Ti frame in pristine condition. Converted from 26 to 27.5 wheels and switched out the first mounted XTR V-Brakes for some Paul Motolites, which unfortunately added another 400 Euros to the bill, but they’re worth it and work fantastic. The fork is a steel fork from Aliexpress (unfortunately couldn’t find a carbon fork with quick release, Cantilever mounts and and bag mount options). To be able to use drop bars I needed to leverage a rohbox shifting converter and modify the SRAM STIs. The total bill summed up to something like 2.5k Euros. Weight as is with pedals and framebag is ~11,5kg which I think is quite ok considering the heavy Rohloff hub and the steel fork. It required a lot of research, e.g. finding 27,5 rims for rim brakes and tubeless compatible wasn’t easy. But I’m super happy with the results.
The Cargo bike I built last year, that was a fun project, too. Welded the fork myself (first welding job) and also the disc brake mounts.
The blue repainted Trek is my commuter bike, the other bikes are used by family members.

Damn, Titanium and Rohloff, you are really planning to go bikepacking don’t you? It would be my dream combo for this
